Record and Televisa in Landmark Deal

SÃO PAULO, September 2: Record TV Network has signed a five-year deal with Televisa for the co-production of telenovelas, with plans to adapt some of the Mexican broadcaster’s titles for Brazilian viewers.

Each telenovela producers under the landmark alliance will include Brazilian actors and directors working at the RECNOV-RJ (Record Telenovelas Novelas) production studios.

Televisa will handle production costs. Revenues generated by advertising, marketing, licensing, international and/or national sales of Record’s adaptations will be equally distributed.

The adaptations will air in a 7 p.m. slot on Record TV Network.
