RDF Acquires The Comedy Unit

LONDON, August 31: RDF Media Group has reached a deal to
acquire the Glasgow-based indie The Comedy Unit for initial consideration of
£6.5 million, £4 million of which will be payable in cash and £2.5 million in
RDF shares.

The Comedy Unit was founded by former BBC Scotland
executives April Chamberlain and Colin Gilbert in 1995. Its credits include Still
Game
, a spin off from the sketch show Chewin’ the
Fat
. The show,
originally commissioned by BBC Scotland, has aired nationally on BBC Two.

David
Frank, RDF’s chief executive, commented, “This acquisition moves RDF into the
