R.J. Cutler Confirmed for WESTDOC

SANTA MONICA: The documentary producer and filmmaker R.J. Cutler, who is behind the high-profile feature The September Issue, will be a guest keynote speaker at the inaugural WESTDOC documentary and reality conference, taking place in Santa Monica, California, from September 14 to 16.

Over the hour-long in-depth discussion, Cutler will be talking about the growing convergence between the documentary and reality genres, today’s challenges in the production of films for television, the theatrical marketplace for high-profile documentaries and more. His session will take place on September 14 at 2:45 p.m. The president of Actual Reality Pictures, Cutler is the director and producer of the documentary feature The September Issue, featuring legendary Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, debuting in theaters this month. Cutler is the producer of the documentaries The War Room, A Perfect Candidate and American High.
