Promax Adds John Waters and Kenneth Cole to Lineup

LOS ANGELES, April 2: Promax/BDA
has added the director John Waters and the fashion designer Kenneth Cole to its
lineup of speakers at the 52nd annual North American conference at the New York
Hilton, joining the previously announced keynote speaker, former president Bill
Clinton.

John Waters will kick off
the Promax/BDA Conference on June 14 with a specially targeted rendition of This
Filthy World,
an insightful,
adult-skewed presentation that offers the lowdown on Waters’ obsessions with
the bizarre that have influenced his work as a filmmaker, author and now TV
show host (Till Death Do Us Part).
While sharing insights into the creative process behind such films as Polyester, Serial Mom and the original version of Hairspray, Waters will discuss how he finds inspiration in the
unlikeliest of places.

Meanwhile, in his
Promax/BDA address, famed fashion designer Kenneth Cole will give advice to
attendees on how they can reach their desired core audience by establishing an
indelible brand identity. With his combined instinct and his understanding of
the consumer's wants and needs, he has successfully packaged his product in
such a way that he's been able to attract thousands upon thousands of loyal
customers.

Additional speakers for
this year’s event, as well as the full 2007 Promax/BDA North American
Conference agenda, will be announced in the coming weeks. The event, which
attracts top television marketers and designers from all over the world, has
previously featured such respected and well-known speakers as Anderson Cooper,
Dr. Maya Angelou, Larry King, Stephen Colbert, Robert Kennedy Jr. and former
Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, among others.

“At every Promax/BDA
Conference, we look to secure speakers who will both inform and motivate our
members with their valuable experiences and insights," said Lee Hunt, the
interim MD of Promax/BDA, in making the announcement. “Both of these
individuals bring incredibly unique backgrounds and a world of creative
knowledge to this year’s conference.”
