Power Announces MIPCOM Lineup

LONDON, October 5: Power will offer up a lineup of new
mini-series, contemporary action series and a range of TV movies at MIPCOM.

On Power’s slate is the action thriller XIII: The
Conspiracy
; Pinocchio, a big-budget adaptation of one of the best-loved
fairy tales of all time; and The Summit, a two-part action mini-series for CBC. Also part of Power’s MIPCOM
offerings is the 13-hour Robinson Crusoe, a remake of Daniel Defoe’s classic novel for NBC, and the new 13-part
fantasy drama series The Changeling,
which is being produced for ABC and CBC.

Power will also highlight a range of programming from its
longstanding output deal with RHI Entertainment. These include Tin Man, a remake of the Wizard of Oz; the action-packed thriller Final Approach; and Flash Gordon, RHI’s 22×1-hour live-action series starring Eric
Johnson (Smallville) in the title
role.

Building on the success of its Power Thrillers, a stable of
two-hour prime-time made-for-television movies featuring dynamic female leads,
Power will also present Lethal Obsession
and Voices, the latest titles in that
growing portfolio. Lethal Obsession
stars Kellie Martin (Live Once, Die
Twice
, ER) as a young mother who hides a blighted past. Voices stars Amy Acker (Angel, Alias)
as a woman who is forced to play detective
when she discovers an unlikely ability to communicate with the dead.
