WARSAW: The first regular 3D TV service in Poland, nShow 3D, is scheduled to launch on Platform ‘n’ on December 4.

The service launches with special live coverage of the European Boxing Union’s heavyweight match up between Albert "The Dragon" Sosnowski and defending champion Alexander Dimitrenko. nShow 3D will continue with a lineup of 3D programming available to all Platform ‘n’ subscribers directly via their set-top boxes and without additional fee until the end of 2011. The channel will include 3D concerts, movies, documentaries and sporting events, such as Football Champions League.

“We are proud to confirm our technological leadership and introduce to our subscribers the first and only regular 3D TV service in the country,” said Christian Anting, the COO of Platform ‘n’. “In the end, it’s all about bringing great TV events to our subscribers, and nShow 3D’s live coverage of The EBU fight is a fitting kick-off for the new 3D service. This highly anticipated boxing event is already capturing Europe’s attention, so what better way to present it than in cutting-edge 3D.”
