What are some of your top properties for MIPCOM?

 

We are excited to bring to the market new Playboy TV productions including our third season of the very popular Foursome, where four sexy singles explore their wild sides on a 24 hour blind date; Off Bowery goes inside the exclusive and gritty world of lower Manhattan’s art scene through the eyes of five of the hottest current artists; Sam’s Game is a non-nude poker show featuring celebrities and sexy Playmates. In 2009 Playmate Of the Year Party Special, we announce who gets crowned Playmate of the Year and watch our Bunnies celebrate in style. Show Us Your Wits asks the question: what effect would a scantily clad temptress have on the mental processes of a male game show contestant?
 
 

Why will these programs appeal to buyers?

 

Our buyers are ensured the highest quality of erotic productions that have that distinctive Playboy brand and style. We provide fun and playful content while still being tasteful and respectful, this is what our clients rely on. With all our new shows we are continuing to satisfy their strong demand for unique erotic programming.
 
 

What are some of the trends you’re currently seeing in this market?

 

There has been an increasing demand for HD content. Currently, we have about 120 hours in HD programming in our library and most all of our newly produced shows are shot in HD.
Another trend we have seen is with our magazine series. For example, Playboy’s best selling series Sexcetera as well as the newer 69 Sexy Things 2 Do Before You Die have produced strong sales in the past year, indicating an increased interest in the magazine genre.
 
 

What are your goals and expectations MIPCOM?

 

As it is at every market, our primary goal is to present our new shows to existing clients who come to Playboy to acquire quality material they need to fulfill their erotic timeslots.
Since this is something that is hard to find elsewhere, we are constantly working with new markets and channels and are excited to be forging new business relationships while in Cannes.
 
 

Is there any other information you would like to share regarding your plans for MIPCOM?

We are also shopping around to add fresh and original concepts to our library that are consistent with the Playboy brand.
