Planet Green Expands to 24-Hour Schedule

PASADENA: Transitioning from its current eight-hour program schedule, Planet Green is expanding its content offerings for a 24-hour format, creating a new prime-time programming block, Verge.

Planet Green moves to the new 24-hour schedule on March 29. Verge will feature new shows such as Future Food, debuting March 30 at 10 p.m. Co-produced by Gala Films and Planet Green, Future Food introduces gastronomists Homaro Cantu and Ben Roche. who are looking for solutions to some of world’s most pressing environmental issues through cooking and food. Wa$ted, hosted by Annabelle Gurwitch, premieres March 31 at 8 p.m. The show, back for its third season, looks at the average household and audits its waste, energy, water and transportation consumption, and gives the families a few weeks to clean up there act.

Further series to air within Verge are Big Chef Takes on Little Chef, Blood, Sweat & Takeaways, Conviction Kitchen, The Fabulous Beekman Boys and Operation Wild. The Woman Who Stops Traffic and Planet Mechanics round out the offerings.
