Pilot Productions Confirms Raft of Travel, Lifestyle Sales

LONDON: Pilot Productions has signed a number of deal from across its lifestyle and travel catalogues, including a sale to Scripps Networks.

Scripps will air a range of Pilot programming as part of its Travel and Lifestyle network in EMEA. Shows covered in the deal include food productions such as World Cafe Middle East, World Cafe Asia and Bobby Chinn Cooks Asia, along with the travel and lifestyle show Adventure Golf and Bazaar.

Pilot also struck deals for a number of other series, including Metropolis, Pilot Globe Guides, World Cafe Asia, Bobby Chinn Cooks Asia and Adventure Golf, which head to VOD with On Demand Management. Other deals include World Cafe Asia season two and Bobby Chinn Cooks Asia heading to MediaCorps’ OKTO channel. Hong Kong’s TVB went for Pilot Globe Guides, Planet Food, World Cafe Asia and Bobby Chinn Cooks Asia. In the Philippines, Lifestyle Network went for Bazaar

DOVE Channel of Italy picked up the rights to the second season of Pilot Pocket Guides. TVP of Poland snapped up Bazaar and Bobby Chinn Cooks Asia. In the Middle East, Tanweer acquired World Cafe Asia, the first season.

"These deals reinforce the popularity of our shows and the beginning of a recovery in the TV program acquisitions," said Eileen Pesah, Pilot’s head of sales.
