PGS & Ypsilon Establish Latin American JV

PARIS/BARCELONA: PGS Entertainment and Ypsilon Films have aligned to form PGS Ypsilon Latin America, which will focus on kids’ and family content for the Latin American and U.S. Hispanic markets.

The join venture will include both the PGS Entertainment and Ypsilon Films catalogues, with more than 500 half-hours of programming. The company is already working on adding third-party content to the catalogue, and is establishing key representation agreements in the region. Offices will be staffed in Miami. The two companies will continue to operated in their respective markets separately as well.

Philippe and Guillaume Soutter of PGS Entertainment commented: “With the great trust we had the past two years from leading providers of premium kids content over the world (Method Animation, Samka, Nerd Corps, Studio Hari, InteractiFactory…), it is all logical for us to develop regional representation to provide the best possible exposure to the shows we represent. We approached Ypsilon Films as we have known Roberto Mitrani for many years, his professionalism and knowledge of Latin markets makes him a natural partner for this new exciting development.”
