Peach Blossom to Produce Chinese Spin Off of Warrior Boy Series

SINGAPORE, November 29: Peach Blossom Media, a Singaporean
animation house, is producing a Chinese-language spin-off of its animated
series Taoshu the Warrior Boy, which aired
on Nickelodeon Asia.

Taoshu and Friends
will feature animated segments with Taoshu, his sister Lingling, his best
friend Jin Han and his father Pa Pa Li, as well as live-action segments in
which real children talk about Chinese festivals, food and culture. The series
of ten-minute episodes will target kids aged 5 to 8. It is being supported by
the Media Development Authority of Singapore.

Taoshu the Warrior Boy
has enjoyed tremendous success in major international markets like France,
Israel and Hong Kong and I see a huge demand for the series in the regional
markets,” said Sung Lingun, the director of Peach Blossom Media. “That is the
reason why I have decided to bring Taoshu back to its roots and create a brand
new mixed media series in its native language—Mandarin. With Taoshu
and Friends
, it will be be wonderful to see
our children getting all excited about learning, exploring and having fun with
Chinese culture all at the same time.”
