PBS KIDS Renews Jay Jay

LOS ANGELES, August 23: PorchLight Entertainment’s Jay
Jay the Jet Plane
has been renewed by PBS
KIDS through June 2009.

The show has been airing on PBS KIDS since June 2001. It is
currently available on 220 PBS member stations reaching 87 million households
weekly. "Jay Jay the Jet Plane is a
global brand due in part to the enormous support it has and continues to
receive from PBS KIDS,” said Bruce Johnson, PorchLight’s CEO. “With the support
of PBS KIDS, the core viewing elements of early childhood education and
self-esteem continue to grow. It is this growth that has taken the brand and
series to greater heights and an even broader appeal on a global scale. We are
again honored by PBS KIDS' continued show of confidence in Jay Jay through its
renewal.”

During the past year, PorchLight has produced new episodes
bringing its current library to 90. Most recently it launched Jay Jay’s
Mysteries
, 10 new episodes featuring Lina, a
bilingual twin prop plane who, along with Jay Jay, solves the science and
nature mysteries of the day while exposing little viewers to simple Spanish
vocabulary words and numbers. Paramount Home Video is launching the new
episodes on DVD this fall under the PBS KIDS home video label. Additionally,
there are over 50 Jay Jay product and merchandise licensees worldwide.

PorchLight is also producing Jay Jay’s Race Around The
World
, a feature film, with India’s UTV.
