Paul Jackson Joins Eyeworks

LONDON: Eyeworks has made an investment in former ITV entertainment chief Paul Jackson’s production firm, tapping him as CEO of its British operations.

Beginning this spring, Jackson will serve as the CEO of Eyeworks’s British operations, including the existing venture, Eyeworks At It. He will work closely with Eyeworks At It heads Chris Fouracre and Martin Cunning in controlling the exploitation of Eyeworks formats in the local market. His move comes with Eyeworks’s investment in his own venture, Byron Bay Productions.

Announcing the appointment, Reinout Oerlemans, the CEO of the Eyeworks group, said: "I am thrilled that Paul is joining the Eyeworks Group. His worldwide reputation as a creative talent, in both scripted and non-scripted television, needs no further explanation. I cannot wait to begin working together with Paul along with our internal creative network, to truly advance the Eyeworks Group both in the U.K. and Internationally. This is a huge opportunity for both parties, and I could not be happier.”

Jackson has held stints at the BBC, Granada Television, Granada American and most recently at ITV, where he was the director of entertainment and comedy.
