Parthenon Kids to Introduce Castle Farm

LONDON: Parthenon Kids has snapped up the worldwide distribution rights for the preschool series Castle Farm, which is set to air on Five in the U.K. next year.

From Impossible Television, Castle Farm is a 25×5-minute series that mixes 2-D and 3-D animation, hand-drawn elements and CGI techniques and models. The show is set in a busy country farm on the grounds of a castle, where the two main characters are Farm Girl and her best friend, Piggy. Together they enjoy comedic adventures with their friends Farmer, Leonard the cow hand and the wise Unicorn.

Marie Chappelow, the commercial director of children’s brands at Parthenon Entertainment, said: “It’s a real coup for us to be working with the producers and Five on this series. Castle Farm is aimed at the preschool market and the animation is portrayed in the style of children’s drawings, which I think is both bold and quirky. I’m sure it will be a big hit with our buyers at MIPCOM.”

Nick Wilson, the director of children’s programmes at Five, added: “Castle Farm is a unique and magical series. I’m delighted that Parthenon shares our passion for the program and I’m sure they will spread the word worldwide.”
