Parthenon Brings Factual U.S. Properties to MIPTV

LONDON, March 28:
Parthenon Entertainment is offering the exclusive worldwide rights to four
American factual shows at MIPTV and MIPDOC.

In wildlife fare,
Parthenon continues to represent the PBS Nature strand with two additional HD
specials: Winter in Yellowstone and
Dogs That Changed the World.
The one-hour program Winter in Yellowstone takes a look at wintertime in America’s first
national park, featuring its landscape and animals. The 2×1-hour special Dogs
That Changed the World
looks at
how dogs have changed human society and how humans have transformed dogs into
guards, hunters, herders and spiritual protectors.

On Parthenon’s history
slate are two HD specials from National Geographic Channel. Hitler and the
Occult
is a one-hour program that
explores whether Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party were influenced and motivated
by the occult. The second offering is the one-hour special The Missing Years
of Jesus
, which tries to shed
light on the whereabouts of Jesus Christ between the ages of 12 and 30.

Peter Pas, the commercial
director of Parthenon Entertainment, said: “I’m delighted to have such a
collection of U.S. shows in our portfolio at MIPTV, they are always extremely
well made with great storylines and narratives. I’m sure they will be well
received by our buyers at the market.”
