TORONTO: This year’s Banff World Media Festival will feature an exclusive summit, organized in conjunction with The Paley Center for Media, bringing together senior executives from the global entertainment, media, technology, communications and advertising industries.

The Summit at Banff, on June 11 and 12, is an invite-only affair intended to facilitate the exchange of ideas and strengthen relationships among key thought-leaders in the industry. Topics of conversation will include convergence, adapting to new consumer habits and global economic factors.

"The Summit will provide a rare moment for international media leaders to gather together in an exclusive, retreat-like environment and get down to the business of developing productive and meaningful relationships with their counterparts from across the globe," said Michael Hennessy, the chair of the Banff World Media Festival Foundation. "We are delighted to be working with an institution as respected as the Paley Center to facilitate this gathering of international industry leadership."

"The Paley Center convenes decision makers in media from around the world for candid conversations in an independent environment," added Pat Mitchell, the president and CEO of The Paley Center for Media. “Since 1995, our International Council of global media executives has come together in key capital cities in more than a dozen countries to exchange information and ideas and to explore strategic alliances. We look forward to continuing this work by convening our International Council members in the influential and much-respected forum of the Banff World Media Festival."
