ORF Scores Thai Slot for Universum Docs

VIENNA: Thailand’s public broadcaster is launching a Wonderful Planet slot in prime time, where wildlife and science docs from Austrian Broadcasting Corporation’s (ORF) Universum strand can air.

 
The ORF titles air at 6 p.m. Monday through Friday in Wonderful Planet. The slot is aimed at family viewing.
 
In a separate deal, with Framepool, ORF has made select material accessible for ongoing online marketing via Framepool.com. The footage collection run by filmmakers allows customers to research, license and re-use existing clips from ORF online. The genres cover nature and landscape, news, culture and historical footage. ORF’s film archive dates right back to the 1950s.
