LAUSANNE: Grupo Albavision has reached a deal with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for the free-TV rights to the London 2012 Olympic Games in ten Latin American countries.

Albavision has secured the broadcast rights for Bolivia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay and Uruguay. This follows the group’s coverage of the inaugural Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games earlier this year.

IOC’s president, Jacques Rogges said, “Following their successful coverage of the first ever Youth Olympic Games this August, we are happy to be able to reach this agreement with Grupo Albavision to ensure free coverage of the Olympic Games in London in 2012 across the region.”
