COLOGNE: ohm:tv’s new format The Impostor, a series from Spain’s Pausoka Entertainment that combines the reality and game-show genres, has secured options with a number of production companies and channels across Europe.

The format was launched at this year’s MIPTV. The one-hour family reality show has since been optioned by production companies and channels in Finland, Sweden and Norway, including deals with Susamuru in Finland and Swedish production company OTW. In Turkey, ARTI Film in conjunction with Sera Film Services also optioned the show. A number of other negotiations are still ongoing, with announcements to be made shortly.

The Impostor sees one contestant playing the role of a family member, while the other contestant must work to uncover their identity.

Joris Eckelkamp, the managing director of international sales at ohm:tv, commented, “Our strategy has always been to acquire innovative and avant-garde formats. I’m delighted that The Impostor fits so well into our programming portfolio and has been optioned by so many companies in such a short time. This program has a winning combination and adds huge potential with its mix of reality and game-show format.”
