Off the Fence Sells 200 Hours of Programming Across Asia

AMSTERDAM, January 3: Off the Fence announced a slew of
international sales across Asia, totaling more than 200 hours of factual
programming.

The deals include more than 150 hours of VOD and mobile
programming, in addition to 50 hours of terrestrial TV. Sri Lanka’s Dialog
Television picked up the bulk of the hours sold, including Chile: Land of
Extremes
, a four-hour series produced by
NHNZ, as well as Adventure Central,
Island Life and A
Dollar a Day.

Plus Media Partner in Korea bought Wild Asia, a 9×1-hour series, also produced by
NHNZ, revealing the range of Asia’s environments and wildlife, as well as Equator
Specials
. Also in Korea, KBS acquired Borneo’s
Pygmy Elephants
, produced by Michael Wong
and Off the Fence for Animal Planet International, telling of one man’s mission
to save the species from poachers. KBS also picked up Africa’s
Outsiders
and Four Alps.

In Thailand, Vision Plus acquired Secret Life of European
Mammals
, Thrills & Spills and 21st Century Garden Art for terrestrial TV. Other deals include the sale of Challenging
Niagara
and The Girl Whose
Muscles are Turning to Bone
to Japan’s
Sfinx; and, in China, Ways Media acquired Science of Summer &
Winter
and Oldies but Goldies.
