Ocule, Solid, Stock Footage World Join Forces

LOS ANGELES, March 8: Independent non-fiction distributors
Ocule Films and Solid Entertainment and online stock footage house Stock
Footage World have joined forces to form O.S.I.

The partnership will offer up award-winning documentary
specials and features, reality and non-fiction series and stock footage to the
worldwide marketplace. The venture will also include a new media arm dedicated
to the repurposing and delivery of its library through IPTV and mobile formats.
The new partnership controls over 1,000 hours of niche and special interest
programming.

“The future of programming is going to be divided into the
over-30 market and the under-30 market,” said Solid Entertainment CEO, Richard
Propper. “We see great opportunity in the new media world of IPTV, mobile, and
other developing formats. Content will remain king, but how and where that
content evolves will be decided market by market, device by device. O.S.I. will
provide that content.”

“There has been a terrific surge in the demand for niche
programming over the past five years, and we see this trend only growing
stronger,” added Ocule’s managing director, Kirt Eftekhar. “Our goal is to
continue to acquire and develop high-quality, factual entertainment for
distribution in all markets and all sectors.”

O.S.I.’s slate for MIPTV will include The Real Lost World for Animal Planet, Hot Rod TV for ESPN2, Alpha Company: Iraq Diary for Discovery Military, Wall Street
Warriors
for iN DEMAND Networks and the
documentary feature Big Rig.
