Nippon Television Donates to Disaster Areas of Great East Japan

TOKYO: In an initiative to help those affected by the Great East Japan earthquake, Nippon Television Network and its 31 affiliates that comprise the 24-Hour Television Charity Committee have donated 530 million yen toward relief efforts.

This is its second round of donations to the prefectures of Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima, Ibaraki and Chiba. The 24-Hour Television Charity Committee had donated 300 million yen earlier, on March 31, targeting the hardest-hit areas. The funds donated now total 830 million yen. A third donation effort is planned.
