Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh Movie Notches Up High Ratings

NEW YORK, August 7: Nickelodeon's TV movie Drake &
Josh: Really Big Shrimp
, which debuted in
prime time on August 3, ranked as the highest-rated TV movie among tweens and
total viewers in the network’s history, drawing more than 5.8 million viewers.

The movie’s premiere beat the network’s competition Friday
night by triple digit percentages in all target demographics, and beat the
previous network record, set by the premiere of the Drake & Josh Go
Hollywood
TV movie, by more than 4 percent
among teens aged 9-14, and more than 6 percent among total viewers. The movie
did well among kids 6-11 and tweens, delivering an 11.8/2.4 million among kids
6-11 and an 11.1/2.3 million among teens 9-14, both triple digit increases over
last year. The movie fared particularly well with boys 6-11, earning a 12.5/1.3
million in that demographic. With kids 2-11, the event posted a 9.3/3.1
million, a more than 173-percent increase versus last year's time period.

In addition, the Drake & Josh: Really Big Shrimp special online site on www.nick.com, which launched
July 27, generated more than 1.7 million page views. A special Drake
& Josh: Really Big Shrimp
themed game,
which launched August 2, ranked in the top ten games for the week and generated
258,000 game plays. Additionally, Drake & Josh videos on TurboNick, www.turbonick.com, garnered
more than 2.1 million streams since its launch on the broadband service.

Drake & Josh: Really Big Shrimp follows Josh Peck as he botches the record deal he
sealed for his wannabe rock star stepbrother Drake Bell and then attempts to
pull off a tape switcheroo that lands the duo in even more trouble. The series
and the TV movie are from executive producer and creator Dan Schneider and his
company Schneider's Bakery.
