Nickelodeon Teen Shows to Debut in Ukraine

LONDON/KIEV: Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has inked a deal with Ukrainian broadcaster NEW Channel to air more than 200 episodes of Nickelodeon’s tween and teen live-action programming in the country for the first time.

The slate of Nickelodeon programming set to air on the channel includes iCarly, True Jackson, The Troop and Drake & Josh. The shows will be localized for the Ukrainian market.

Maria Rakhmatullina-Ufland, VIMN’s sales director for emerging markets and the deal’s broker, commented: “Nickelodeon’s live-action drama series offer a winning combination of compelling story lines, appealing characterization and brilliant acting, and have won the hearts and minds of tween audiences around the world. We are looking forward to working with NEW Channel to bring the immersive worlds of iCarly and our other characters to Ukrainian viewers for the very first time.”
