Nickelodeon Latin America Launches Broadband Video Site

MIAMI, July 16: Nickelodeon Latin
America has launched NickTurbo, a new broadband video system that will allow
viewers to watch 10 hours of new Nickelodeon programming online each week via
the site www.MundoNick.com.

The 10 hours of new programming
will include programming shorts and complete episodes, lasting from 30 seconds
to 22 minutes. NickTurbo is organized into five areas, with each area featuring
multiple series and episodes from which to choose from. These areas include
Destacado, which will present the channel’s newest content; Nicktoons,
showcasing cartoons such as SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly Oddparents, Avatar and more;
Series Nick, highlighting live-action series and cartoons not produced by
Nickelodeon; Nick Clásico, featuring classic programs that are no longer on the
air, such as Kenan and Kel, Clarissa
Explains It All
and Double Dare; and Mini Nick, which contains promos and animated shorts.
More NickTurbo content will premiere shortly and will include exclusive
interviews, short-form animated programming and new shows such as Mr. Meaty. All of the content will be available in widescreen
format.

“NickTurbo is the perfect
complement to the offerings that are currently airing on Nickelodeon, since it
allows children the option of watching Nick content at any time by simply
logging on to the Internet,” said Luis Goicouria, the VP of new media at MTV
Networks Latin America. “NickTurbo is an extension of our channel, offering our
Nick fans an alternative way of watching complete shows, exclusive videos,
classic series and the most popular programs of the moment. We are confident
that children will enjoy hours and hours of entertainment.”
