Nickelodeon Greenlights Third Season of Big Time Rush

NEW YORK: Nickelodeon has ordered a third season of Big Time Rush, the live-action comedy created by Scott Fellows and produced in partnership with Sony Music.

The series stars Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos Pena and Logan Henderson; it chronicles the adventures of four best friends from Minnesota who move to Los Angeles and take a shot at music stardom. The show will start production on 20 new episodes in January 2012. Nickelodeon is set to premiere the music video for Big Time Rush‘s new single Worldwide on June 18.

Marjorie Cohn, the president of Nickelodeon’s development and original programming, said: "Big Time Rush’s success both on and off screen is a true testament to the chemistry between the boys. Kendall, James, Carlos and Logan have connected with fans around the world and we are excited to bring even more music and comedic adventures to our audience."
