Nick, MTVN Kids & Family Up Talent VP

NEW YORK, December 17: Shelly Sumpter Gillyard has been
promoted to senior VP of talent for Nickelodeon and MTV Networks Kids and
Family Group, expanding on her former responsibilities as VP of talent.

Based in Santa Monica, California, Sumpter Gillyard will
report to Paula Kaplan, the executive VP of talent and West Coast general
manager at Nickelodeon and MTV Networks Kids and Family Group. Her expanded
role includes oversight of all talent activities for teen network The N, as the
channel begins preparing to expand to 24-hour programming on December 31.
Sumpter Gillyard will also be responsible for identifying and developing new
talent, casting for new and current series, talent relations and growing the
networks' profile in the Hollywood community. She will continue the day-to-day
responsibilities of her current role, which include identifying and booking celebrity
talent for programming development, current series, pro-social campaigns and
special events across all of the MTV Networks Kids and Family Group brands.

Sumpter Gillyard has been with Nickelodeon for 10 years.
Since 2002 she has served as VP of talent, and before that, was Nickelodeon’s
senior director of talent since 1999.
