News Corporation Further Ups Premiere Stake

NEW YORK, April 7: News Corporation has acquired
additional shares in German pay-TV giant Premiere, taking its stake in the
company to 22.7 percent.

In January, News Corp. shelled out 287 million
euros for 14.58 percent of Premiere, upping it to 19.9 percent the following
month. According to reports, News Corp. was keen to up the stake ahead of
Premiere’s annual general meeting in June, in order to push through changes in
the platform’s strategy.
