FME Sets Up Kids’ Division

LONDON: Former Warner Bros. and Sony Pictures Television executive Sander Schwartz has been tapped to lead FremantleMedia Enterprises’s (FME) expansion into the kids’ and family programming sector.

Schwartz has been named executive VP and head of children and family entertainment, reporting to David Ellender, the global CEO of FME. He is responsible for developing the vision and strategic plan for children’s content, aligning with producers, third-party rights owners and broadcasters to develop a pipeline of programming. 

“We could not ask for someone more respected in the industry to spearhead this division,” said Ellender. “Sander’s track record, wide-ranging experience and innovation he’s brought to the children’s sector is unrivalled and we look forward to our exciting future ahead.”

Schwartz, who won an Emmy Award for his role in producing The Batman series for Kids WB!, is a former president of international production for Sony Pictures Television International and president of Warner Bros. Animation.
