New VOD Deal for SPTI

CULVER CITY, August 3:
Just one week since securing an IPTV video on demand deal in Germany, Sony
Pictures Television International has entered into an agreement with the
European digital film distributor Arts Alliance Media (AAM) to allows users to
rent online features such as The Da Vinci Code and The Producers.

The
agreement sees Arts Alliance Media having the rights to digitally distribute
180 of Sony Pictures’ back catalogue titles, including Taxi Driver
and Gandhi, and new releases
over the next three years such as Spider-Man 3. The films will be available from AAM’s download
partners: LOVEFiLM (www.lovefilm.com) and AOL (www.aol.co.uk).

Last
week, SPTI announced a deal to provide a slate of feature films to maxdome,
ProSiebenSat.1 Group’s VOD platform.
