New Venture Targets Asia-Pacific, UAE Markets

SYDNEY/SINGAPORE/DUBAI,
October 7: Entertainment production executives Ean Thorley, Chantal Prud’homme
and Julio Himede have teamed up to launched Whatever Entertainment Group, which
will specialize in creating large-scale events in the Asia Pacific and United
Arab Emirates for broadcasters and other clients.

The venture is billing
itself as a broadcast solutions, events and talent management firm that will
conceptualize, produce and manage entertainment-based events in its target
markets. Clients will include broadcasters, real estate developers, hotel and
leisure properties and retail operators.

Prud’homme serves as
executive producer of talent for Whatever, assuming responsibility for
attracting and securing artists for productions and events, operating out of
Singapore. She has previously served as the producer of several MTV Awards
throughout the region.

Thorley was one of the
original producers for MTV at STAR TV in the early 1990s and remained with the
company in the region for many years, most recently as executive producer for
MTV Networks Australia/New Zealand. There, he oversaw original production for
the company’s television and broadband platforms including three MTV Australia
Video Music Awards. At Whatever, he serves as executive producer of content,
out of Sydney.

Julio Himede is creative
director and also based at the company’s Sydney offices. He was the assistant
designer for the closing ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and has been
the production designer for the 2005, 2006 and 2007 MTV Australia Video Music
Awards.
