New Tween Live-Action Series for YTV

TORONTO, October 8: Fresh
TV and Blueprint Entertainment have teamed up to co-produce In Maya’s
Opinion
, a new live-action series
with animated elements for YTV in Canada.

In Maya’s Opinion is a single-camera comedy targeted at 10- to
14-year-olds. The half-hour series centers on Maya Hughes, a 14-year-old with a
hyperactive imagination and an optimistic outlook on life. The series, slated
for production in April 2009, will be distributed by Oasis International.

“We are psyched to be
collaborating with Blueprint,” said Tom McGillis, the president of Fresh TV.
“Working with their experienced and passionate team will extend our reach in
the world of live-action tween entertainment.”

Frank Saperstein, the
senior VP of children’s and animated programming at Blueprint Entertainment,
added, “Working with Fresh TV and Corus/YTV on a project as innovative and fun
as In Maya’s Opinion is exactly
the kind of partnerships we dream of at Blueprint. We are excited to be working
with the talented team at Fresh and their proven ability to tap into the teen
and tween market.”

enhance Maya’s unique personality, we feel this show will bring a new style of
