New Spanish Sales for Imira

BARCELONA: Imira Entertainment has signed a deal with Spain’s Canal Sur for the children’s shows Planet Grabo and Corneil & Bernie.

Canal Sur, part of Forta’s public broadcasting network, went for 26 13-minute episodes of Planet Grabo, aimed at 8- to 12-year-olds, and and 52 13-minute episodes of Corneil & Bernie, aimed at 6- to 10-year-olds. Both shows are from Millimages.

A separate deal sees Televisión de Canarias acquiring two teen TV movies from the Imira library: Scooter, Secret Agent and Wicked Science. Both 90-minute movies are produced by Jonathan M. Shiff and ZDF Enterprises. Imira also landed recent sales deals with Forta channels ETB and TV Galicia in Spain, which renewed their commitment to a number of HIT Entertainment series. ETB renewed seasons one and two of Pingu, along with a deal to acquire seasons three to six of the animated show, while TV Galicia renewed Pingu and Sheeep.

Christophe Goldberger, the head of distribution and marketing at Imira Entertainment, said: “The Millimages and ZDF Enterprises libraries are consistently popular in Spain and we’re very pleased to sign these deals which extend our presence on Spanish broadcast platforms.”
