New South Asian Appointment at BBC Worldwide

MUMBAI, June 20: BBC Worldwide’s Global Channels division has named Nachiket
Pantvaidya as general manager for South Asia.

Pantvaidya
will be responsible for leading the Global Channels team in the region and
managing the growth strategy for BBC-branded channels, reporting to Christine Leo-McKerrow,
the senior VP of Global Channels for the Asia-Pacific. The new position is
effective July 11.

Pantvaidya
previously spent three years as executive director for programming and
production at the Disney Channels in India. He also held several positions at
Sony Entertainment Television in India.
