New Reality Competition Series for Animal Planet

SILVER SPRING, March 21:
Animal Planet will premiere a new competition show, Groomer Has It, which looks for America’s best dog groomer, on
April 12 at 9 p.m.

Groomer Has It, hosted by Jai Rodriguez (Queer Eye for the
Straight Guy), watches 12 dog
groomers compete for the title of Groomer of the Year, as well as a $50,000
cash prize, a mobile grooming salon from Wag’n Tails Mobile Grooming and the
chance to jump-start their career. The contestants will live together in a Los
Angeles loft, and will face a panel of judges after each challenge:
veterinarian Dr. Karen Halligan, champion dog handler Xavier Santiago and U.S.
grooming expert Joey Villani.

The show is produced by
3Ball Productions, with J.D. Roth, Todd Nelson and Adam Greener as executive
producers for the company. For Animal Planet, Melinda Toporoff is the executive
producer.
