New Offerings from Cineflix

LONDON: Eat Yourself Sexy, starring nutrition guru Gillian McKeith, leads off Cineflix International Distribution’s slate for the upcoming market.

The 13×30-minute series features McKeith delving out advice to help participants look and feel their best. The show has already scored pickups across Scandinavia with MTV3 in Finland, TV4 in Sweden and TV3 in Norway all taking on the finished version.

The Unsellables, a BBC One commission, offers practical advice and tips to help desperate homeowners sell off their "unsellable" properties. The series is hosted by Sofie Allsopp, and has been presold to UKTV. The format, originally produced for Canada and re-versioned for the U.S. market, is now licensed and produced in the U.K. for the BBC and is one of the top ten shows on HGTV in both markets. The series is set to air in early May.

Other shows in the Cineflix International stable include the 6×1-hour Human Prey (also known as Eaten Alive). The series recount attacks by some of the world’s deadliest predators. Also animal centric, but on a lighter note, Animals at Work introduces family viewers to the world of animals with jobs. The series airs on BBC One and CBBC in the U.K. Hosted by John Barrowman, star of Doctor Who, the series travels the globe in search of the most remarkable working animals on the planet.

Topping off the slate, Austin Stevens Adventures follows herpetologist and photographer Austin Stevens as his search for the world’s most fascinating animals takes him around the globe and through the tough terrain.
