New MD at FIC for Nordic & Baltic Regions

LONDON: Fox International Channels (FIC) Europe has hired Åse Ytreland as the new managing director for the Nordic and Baltic regions, where she will manage the company’s activities in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Ytreland will be based in the FIC Nordic offices in Copenhagen and Oslo. She will report directly to Jesús Perezagua, FIC Europe’s president. Ytreland takes on the management of the all Nordic and Baltic markets with responsibilities key areas such as distribution, programming, marketing and ad sales for the currently operating TV brands. These are the factual channels National Geographic Channel and National Geographic Wild, Baby TV and the Baltic entertainment offerings of Fox Life and Fox Crime.

Said Perezagua: "Åse Ytreland has long experience working for international media companies where she has managed multi-territorial operations mainly focused on sales and marketing. She will bring to FIC a decisive commercial impulse that will consolidate our existing brands in North Europe and a further development of Fox channels in the region."
