NEW YORK: Kristin Brzoznowski, the managing editor of World Screen, and Vanessa Brand, a key member of the company’s marketing and sales team, have received new titles, while associate editors have been hired for both the English- and Spanish-language publications.

Besides her current title, Brzoznowski will now also be the editor of WorldScreen.com. As such, she will be in charge of the company’s 12 English-language websites. These websites now receive nearly 200,000 visitors each month, providing the industry with invaluable print, audio and video content.

In addition, Brzoznowski has been promoted to editor of the English-language guides—World Screen Distributors Guide, TV Kids Distributors Guide and TV Formats Distributors Guide. These annual publications are now established as serious and comprehensive sourcebooks for the international television industry.

“I am delighted that Kristin is receiving these two important new titles,” said Ricardo Guise, the president and publisher of World Screen. “Her stewardship of these properties has been exemplary, and I cannot conceive of a better team player. She will be instrumental in helping us grow our company’s editorial assets.”

Brzoznowski continues to report to Mansha Daswani, the associate publisher and executive editor, and Anna Carugati, the group editorial director.

On the business side of the company, Brand’s contributions are also being recognized and she is being promoted to marketing and sales manager. Her responsibilities will continue to grow as she assists Cesar Suero, the marketing and sales director, in generating new opportunities for print and online growth.

“Vanessa is a tremendous asset for this company, and together with Cesar, they make the most effective and efficient sales and marketing team in our history,” said Guise. “She has a tough and demanding job, and she makes it seem easy.”

The company has also bolstered the editorial team hiring Joanna Padovano as associate editor of World Screen. Padovano contributes to the online newsletters and helps manage text, pictures and follow-ups for print articles. She also writes Upfronts for the magazine and assists with fact-checking, proofreading and transcribing.

Jessica Rodríguez has become the associate editor of TV Latina. Rodríguez contributes to all of TV Latina’s Spanish-language print publications, as well as the online newsletters Diario TV Latina, TV Latina Semanal, TV Niños Semanal, TV Canales and TV Novelas y Series Semanal, and the annual Latin American Cable & Satellite Guide and Latin American Distributors Guide.
