New Global Head of Marketing at Endemol

LONDON: Steve Copestake, the former senior VP of international marketing at Disney-ABC-ESPN Television, has been named head of global marketing for Endemol.

Copestake takes on responsibility for all of Endemol’s marketing activities, focusing on the global entertainment formats. He will also work closely with Endemol Worldwide Distribution on finished programming. His further responsibilities include post-sales support for Endemol clients. He takes up the new role on March 19, reporting to Endemol’s chief commercial officer, Tom Toumazis. He will also work closely with Endemol Worldwide Distribution’s CEO, Cathy Payne.

Toumazis commented: “Steve’s outstanding track record in brand communication and strategic marketing has seen him play a key role in the development and continued success of some of the world’s biggest TV franchises. He is the ideal candidate to lead the marketing of Endemol’s global brands whilst offering a first rate post sales service to our partners around the world. I am delighted that he is joining us.”

Copesake added: “Endemol has one of the most extensive, diverse and rapidly expanding entertainment portfolios in the world. It is currently undergoing remarkable growth in areas such as scripted programming and sport whilst continuing to generate blockbuster formats.
