STAMFORD: WWE has appointed sports entertainment veteran John Brody as the executive VP of global sales and partnerships.

In his new role, Brody will be charged with providing strategic vision for WWE’s sales operation on a global basis, while also expanding the company’s media partnerships. He will be a key member of the senior management team and will report directly to Michelle D. Wilson, the chief revenue and marketing officer at WWE. Prior to joining WWE, Brody worked at the National Football League, Wasserman Media Group, the Boston Celtics and Major League Baseball, where he spent 12 years.

“John is a recognized leader within the sports and entertainment marketplace, and I am thrilled to have him join WWE,” Wilson remarked. “Given the global opportunities for partners to engage with our massive fan base across TV, digital and social platforms, I’m confident that John will be successful in growing this line of our business.”
