New Broadcast Deals in Place for Olivia

CANNES, October 13: TF1 and Nick Jr. U.K. are among the new
broadcasters on board for Chorion’s Olivia,
a Nickelodeon U.S. commission based on the Ian Falconer books of the same name.

Other broadcasters to have recently acquired the series
include Treehouse in Canada, Danmarks Radio and Disney Latin America. The 3-D
CGI show was previously picked up by Five in the U.K., ABC Australia, YLE
Finland, SVT Sweden, NRK Norway and RUV Iceland. The show will begin airing worldwide from spring 2009.

Geraint Marsh, the senior VP of sales at Chorion, said: “Olivia
is proving to be incredibly popular as both
a television and licensed property and we are delighted to have secured these
new deals at MIPCOM. The books are already an established brand and we are
excited to introduce Olivia to new audiences worldwide.”
