Jain Upped to Oversee MTV India, China, Southeast Asia

SINGAPORE/MUMBAI/LONDON, June 19: MTV Networks International
(MTVNI) has promoted Amit Jain to executive VP and managing director for MTV
Networks India, China and Southeast Asia, effective immediately.

In this newly created role, Jain will lead the growth of and
manage operations for MTVNI’s digital and linear programming services in these
territories. He will relocate to Singapore from Mumbai, where he has been
leading the company’s India operations. He moves into this new position
following his leadership in the formation of Viacom and TV18 Group’s
joint-venture multimedia entertainment company, Viacom-18. Viacom-18 will
launch a new Hindi-language general entertainment channel in India, and MTV
Networks will contribute MTV, VH1 and Nickelodeon India to the joint venture.
He will continue to report to Bob Bakish, the president of MTV Networks
International, as well as sit on the board for Viacom-18.

In making the announcement, Bakish commented, “Amit’s
leadership, vision and success in setting up our new joint venture in India
made it clear that he was ready to expand his role and step up to drive growth
across key Asian businesses. His ability to make things happen suits the
challenges we face, and I’m confident he will enable us to further our
development and growth in Asia.”

The company also announced that Ian Stewart has been
appointed to the position of senior VP for Viacom Brand Solutions
International, encompassing all sales and research responsibilities for Asia.

With the management changes now in place, Christopher
Steward, executive VP of VBS and Southeast Asia, has decided to leave the
company.
