Netflix Sets Scripted Crime Anthology Inspired by True Events

Netflix has revealed Historia de un crimen, a new series about controversial crimes that have impacted different countries.

The first season of the franchise will explore the case of Luis Donaldo Colosio, a Mexican politician and presidential candidate who was assassinated at a campaign event in Tijuana in 1994. The eight-episode season has already started production in Mexico City and will be available exclusively to Netflix members around the world in 2019.

The series is produced by Dynamo for Netflix and stars Jorge A. Jiménez (Narcos, Machete Kills, Hermoso silencio), Ilse Salas (Cantinflas, Sr. Ávila), Alberto Guerra (Ingobernable, El señor de los cielos), Gustavo Sánchez Parra (Amores perros, Hombre en llamas), Martín Altomaro (Mita y mita, Rudo y Cursi), Lisa Owen (El señor de los cielos, Los insólitos peces gato) and Ari Brickman (Sense8, No se aceptan devoluciones), among others.
