Netflix Gives Marco Polo a Second Season

PASADENA: Netflix is bringing back its new adventure series Marco Polo for a second run of ten episodes.

The sweeping adventure follows the famed explorer’s exploits in Kublai Khan’s court in 13th century China. The show is created by John Fusco, who also serves as an executive producer.

Netflix also announced upcoming premiere dates for a number of new original series, all of which will be available globally upon release in all territories where the service is available. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, from creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, debuts March 6, followed by the drama Bloodline on March 20. Marvel's Daredevil is set for an April 10 debut, while Grace and Frankie, which stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, premieres May 8.

In the coming weeks, Netflix will launch new kids' titles, including DreamWorks Animation's The Adventures of Puss in Boots (premieres in North America, Latin America, U.K./Ireland, the Nordics, Benelux and France on January 16), Ever After High: Spring Unsprung (premieres globally February 6) and the second season of the hit series Mako Mermaids (premieres in North America, Latin America, U.K./Ireland, the Nordics and Benelux on February 13).
