NBC Preps Celebrity Circus

BURBANK, April 24: NBC is
set to roll out Celebrity Circus,
featuring well-known stars performing circus acts, with a 90-minute kick-off
special on June 11 at 9:30 p.m.

Former *NSYNC member Joey
Fatone will host the new series, which watches stars perform circus acts
alongside experts who have trained them. After each performance, the
contestants will face the panel of judges, who are experts from the circus
world. The celebrity participants include Antonio Sabato Jr., who starred in General
Hospital
and Melrose Place; Grammy-nominated R&B singer Blu Cantrell;
Christopher Knight, who played Peter Brady on the classic TV show The Brady
Bunch
; Olympic athlete Janet
Evans; Jason "Wee Man" Acuna, of Jackass fame; and supermodel Rachel Hunter.

Celebrity Circus is produced by Endemol USA, with Matt Kunitz (Fear
Factor
) as the executive producer
and Rick Ringbakk (The Amazing Race)
as co-executive producer.
