NBC Gives New Order for Returning Series

BURBANK, August 29: America’s
Got Talent
has been renewed for a
fourth season by NBC, which also picked up nine additional episodes of the
sophomore drama Chuck.

America’s Got Talent, produced by FremantleMedia North America and
Simon Cowell’s SYCO Television, showcases performers from across the country,
with the winner being chosen by the television viewing audience.

"The production team
has stepped up their game creatively as proven by the strong ratings,"
said Craig Plestis, the executive VP of alternative programming, development and
specials, NBC Entertainment. "America's Got Talent has produced the most successful winner in reality
television history. This is the only show where truly unique and talented
performers can achieve their ultimate dream. There's nothing like it on television."

Chuck will premiere in its new season on September 29 at
8 p.m. The series follows a computer geek who has been tapped as a government
secret agent. Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak wrote Chuck, which is produced by College Hill Pictures,
Wonderland Sound and Vision, in association with Warner Bros. Television.

"We couldn't be more
excited with the creative direction Josh (Schwartz) and his team are executing
on Chuck," said Teri
Weinberg, the executive VP of NBC Entertainment. "This show has really hit
its stride and deserves a full-season commitment to carry out the producers'
vision for this unique series."
