NATPE to Spotlight New Media, Technology

LOS ANGELES, January 13: NATPE has teamed up with a number of media and technology companies to present "What’s Next Tech Premieres," a series at this month’s conference that highlights the latest digital products and services.

Each "What’s Next Tech Premiere" will be presented just prior to general conference sessions. They will also be repeated in a designated area adjacent to the "Tech & New Media Zone" on the NATPE market floor, where many of the creators will be on hand to answer questions. Companies participating in NATPE panels, workshops and briefings include Panasonic Broadcast and Television Systems, Adobe, Microsoft TV, Rentrak, Teradata Corporation, Capgemini and Vimation.

NATPE will also feature new-media stars and players such as "Obama Girl" Amber Lee Ettinger, Electric Farm Entertainment, Worldwide Biggies, Generate, 7 Robot, 60 Frames, YouTube, EQAL, Open Mobile Video Coalition (OMVC), Goldspot Media, Google, Jonathan Prince (producer of CBS web show Novel Adventures) and DADLABS.

"One of the advantages of being the world’s foremost TV content organization is that we understand better than anyone how to integrate technology and new media with content," said NATPE’s president and CEO, Rick Feldman. "We worked with producer Arthur Greenwald to create the ‘What’s Next Tech Premieres’ in partnership with some of today’s top media and technology companies to establish a useful, hands-on experience designed to best serve the needs of our constituency, distinguishing NATPE from other gatherings that look upon content merely as an afterthought."

The annual market and conference will be held January 26 to 29 in Las Vegas.
