Nat Geo Music Arrives in Latin America

BUENOS AIRES, November 16:
Following a successful launch in Italy last month, National Geographic Channels
International’s new channel, Nat Geo Music, will be available in Latin America
in December.

The record labels EMI
Arabia, Warner Music Latin America, Sony/BMG Asia and Universal Italy, have
agreed to provide content to the channel as well as independent labels like
Razor & Tie, Because, Wrasse and Gallo Music Group.

Nat Geo Music is a 24-hour
international music channel that presents local and international artists and
connects viewers from different backgrounds through the universal language of
music, highlighting the influence of sound around the world. The channel
includes artist interviews; videos, concerts and weekly segments presenting
music from a particular country that connect the adventurous spirit with music,
and dance sessions. One of the highlights of the new channel is the program Geo
Sessions
, which offers intimate
acoustic concerts with artists such as Ben Harper, Bebel Gilberto, K’naan,
Michael Franti and Gogol Bordello.
