MTVNI Expands Central European Reach

LONDON/BUDAPEST, October 3: MTV Networks International’s (MTVNI)
Emerging Markets group has launched MTV Hungary, a new 24-hour
advertiser-supported Hungarian-language channel available to nearly 1.5 million
households in the region via cable and DTH platforms.

Wholly-owned and operated by MTVNI’s Emerging Markets group,
MTV Hungary is the latest addition to its rapidly growing portfolio of channels
in Central and Eastern Europe. The new channel joins other MTVNI channel
brands, VIVA, VHI European and Nickelodeon, which are also available in
Hungary.

The new channel aims to provide Hungarian youth with the
very best local and international music videos and programming. Locally-
produced shows available from launch include My MTV, where famous Hungarian artists discuss their
favorite music videos; MTV ID, a
program with uploaded videos and clips, and from October 15, Swung, a late-night live chat show. In addition viewers
can watch a raft of hit MTVNI series such as Pimp My Ride, Viva La Bam, South Park and Made dubbed into Hungarian.

The channel launch will be supported by a teaser website,
www.mtv.co.hu, with a fully integrated website available in 2008. The site will
allow users to stream and watch content online and keep fans up to date and
entertained with the latest news, blogs, videos and a wide range of interactive
elements. Advertisers already on board from launch include Samsung, T-Mobile
and Coca-Cola.

Levente Málnay B., the general manager of MTV Networks
Hungary, said: “MTV has been shaping global culture for more than a quarter of
a century. It is high time for Hungarian young people to have their own MTV!
We’re now also exploring the possibility of launching a local thematic comedy
channel in Hungary to further expand on our entertainment channel portfolio. We
are in extensive discussions with partners and so far, we have received a very
positive response to our proposal.”
