MTV to Roll Out Eight Bonus Episodes of The Hills

SANTA MONICA, December 11: MTV has extended its popular
non-scripted series The Hills for an
additional eight bonus episodes that will air in spring 2008.

The bonus episodes will be set in Paris, where Lauren and
Whitney have traveled to work for Teen Vogue. The story will also venture back to Los Angeles to catch up on the
latest stories affecting the cast, including updates on Heidi and Spencer’s
relationship.

The third season of The Hills is the number-one original series on cable among viewers 12 to 34 for
2007. It is also number one in its Monday 10 p.m. time slot among 12- to-
34-year-old viewers across all of television. With a 4.36 rating in the same
demo this season to-date, the third season has outperformed the second season
by 49 percent, reaching more than 72 million viewers aged 2 and older and more
than 35 million from the 12- to- 34-year-old set.

Also a top performer for MTV.com, The Hills show area on the site has attracted an average of
600,000 unique visitors a week. In November, streams for the series represented
nearly a third of all streams generated at MTV.com, while The Hills has also notched up more than 1.8 million streams
viewed through MTV’s embeddable player.

The show was created by Adam DiVello, who also serves as an
executive producer alongside Liz Gateley and Sean Travis.

"MTV is giving the passionate fans of The Hills what they deserve—an extended season to catch
up on cast relationships and finally see Lauren realize a long-awaited
dream," said Tony DiSanto, the executive VP of series development and
programming at MTV. "The success of the series, both on air and online,
has been tremendous and as it continues to grow, we look forward to taking this
season into the new year."
